Women's Services at The Partnership Comprehensive Care Practice
The Partnership meets the distinct needs of women with HIV throughout their lives by providing comprehensive medical, psychological and social care.
We also help patients manage:
- Breast cancer (screening and prevention)
- Family planning services, including provision of birth control options
- Health promotion and empowerment series for women
- Heart disease prevention
- Lesbian health care issues
- Psychological well-being
- Sexual dysfunction
- Sexuality issues
- Support groups for women
- Weight and nutrition
Additionally, we provide on-site comprehensive gynecologic services by an ob/gyn physician who specializes in HIV care. These include pelvic exams, colposcopy screening for abnormal exams, preconception counseling to help plan safe pregnancies, family planning counseling to help prevent unplanned pregnancies and counseling for serodifferent partners to prevent HIV transmission.
Our specialized prenatal clinic provides comprehensive HIV and ob/gyn care for women during pregnancy, ensuring optimal outcomes for the family during the prenatal and postpartum periods. Specialized prenatal case management services are provided by our team.
