Lydia Komarnicky, MD, is a radiation oncologist in Philadelphia. She is a prominent specialist in the treatment of breast, lung and eye tumors. She is a member of the board of Susan G. Komen Foundation and has been recognized repeatedly as a "Top Doc" by Philadelphia Magazine.
Dr. Komarnicky has written numerous articles on cancer in peer review journals and a patient education book with Dr. Anne L. Rosenberg, entitled "What to Do If You Get Breast Cancer."
Long active in developing breast cancer awareness programs throughout the Philadelphia region, Dr. Komarnicky has served as a spokesperson for the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation and on various committees of the American Cancer Society. In addition, she served as the medical advisor for the National Women's Health Resource Center's "Learn.Love.Commit." breast cancer awareness campaign.
Dr. Komarnicky is also the cancer liaison physician for Hahnemann University Hospital, and she serves on the hospital's cancer committee.
