Biography
John G. Lieb II, MD, FASGE, is a gastroenterologist practicing in Center City Philadelphia. He is the director of interventional endoscopy at Hahnemann University Hospital.
His areas of interest include:
- Early diagnosis and management of chronic pancreatitis
- Diagnosing and managing pancreatic exocrine insufficiency
- Optimization of the treatment of acute pancreatitis
- Diagnosis/treatment/prevention of large gastrointestinal polyps and cancers
- Endoscopic management of complex pancreatico-biliary-esophageal disease/complex strictures
- Diagnosis and treatment of Barrett's esophagus/early esophageal cancer
- Optimization of colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, deep enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, and ERCP quality
- Diagnosis and management of GI genetic disorders including FAP, Lynch syndrome, hereditary pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, and other hereditary cancer syndromes
