Biography

2024 Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctors™

Nathalie Saget May, MD, was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, by her maternal grandmother. Dr. May came to the United States as a child when her grandmother succumbed to breast cancer at a time when there were only a few unpromising treatments and virtually no palliative care. Watching a loved one suffer inspired Dr. May to pursue a medical career. She attended the United Nations International School in New York City, where she learned English as a second language and Spanish as a third. She graduated valedictorian of her class and attended Princeton University, graduating magna cum laude. True to her dream of becoming a doctor, she completed her medical studies at the University of Pennsylvania, remaining there for her internship and residency in internal medicine.

Dr. May serves as the medical director of the flagship internal medicine practice at Drexel University College of Medicine. She maintains a busy practice where she sees patients. Dr. May prides herself on delivering excellent care to her patients while practicing preventive, evidenced-based medicine. Although she has lost her accent, Dr. May remains fluent in French and English. She is able to converse in Spanish and Creole.

Dr. May is married with two boys who are now pursuing their own dreams in college, and her dog Landon. In her spare time, you will find her spending time walking her dog and interacting with her neighbors. She spends many rewarding hours reading, watching game shows or home improvement shows on HGTV. She also enjoys tennis, reading and listening to music.
