Rapid HIV Testing
The Partnership Comprehensive Care Practice provides free, confidential, rapid HIV testing and counseling.
If you would like to get tested, you can schedule a time to come in, by emailing PCCPOutreach@drexel.edu or calling 267.507.6710 with your contact information and a team member will help you schedule a visit. Walk-in testing is also available.
You should always ask for an HIV test as part of your routine healthcare, either during your annual check-up or during your annual gynecological exam. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested at least once. You should also get an HIV test if:
- You have had unprotected sex (oral, vaginal or anal)
- You are planning to have sex with a new partner
- You need emergency contraception
- You were sexually assaulted
- You are pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant
- You have an STD now or had an STD in the past
- You share needles for drugs, steroids or tattoos
- You want to receive counseling on how to reduce your risks
- You just want to know your status
