Cooking a healthy meal at home.

Healthy eating is important in the management of HIV, but “healthy eating” means something different for everyone. The Partnership has a full-time nutritionist who specializes in the different diets needed for people living with HIV. Available at regular medical visits or by special appointment, the nutritionist will work with you to develop a wellness plan that meets your health goals and lifestyle.

Some of the services available include:

  • Diabetes education and support
  • Dietary counseling
  • Food safety instruction
  • Meal planning/budgeting
  • Referral to community food resources
  • Basic information about nutrition-related topics seen in popular media

Team Approach to Nutrition and HIV

Many nutrition-related issues require a team approach. Partnership patients can count on our nutritionist to work with behavioral health, nursing, case management and other areas of our practice to best meet their needs.
